About Me and My Art
How all types of art impacts our lives and why I won't paint certain requests.

Art has the ability to shape society by altering perspectives, imparting values, and bridging experiences across different eras and locations. Studies reveal that art profoundly impacts our core sense of identity. Paintings, sculptures, music, literature, and other artistic forms serve as the cultural archives of a community. In so doing, Art has the power to challenge societal norms and conventions.
Which brings me to where I stand with my art and what I like to paint.. Or more, what I won't paint.
As an artist, certain projects interest me more than others, especially if they push the current level of my skills and knowledge. As my Grandfather once said to me, "you will never stop learning". But for me it is also about what I won't paint.
I'm always interested in new projects, but if the art is considered to be in the genre of evil/hatred or if the artwork requested maybe derogatory towards women or men, be overtly sexualised images, then you as the buyer are better served to find another artist. For me, there is already enough hatred and disrespect in this world and I will not allow my images to add to or promote negative cultural thoughts such as these.
I am totally ok, if some people like my art and others dislike it. It's part of being an artist. I just don't let either opinion have any affect on me as a person, or how or what I decide to paint.
The overall goal I have for my art is to bring joy, happiness, love and respect to the people who view it.
Especially for my Christian based artworks, to give a visual depiction of Jesus sacrifice for us, for those that believe in Christ, to renew, increase and strengthen faith. For those that are searching for something, my hope is that my art helps them decide to start a longing to know more and that it leads to a life-long relationship with God through accepting Jesus as our saviour.
